hallo world, on the road again and a few miles of smiles

The bitch charging @ 14.5 amps
A little addition for my co pilot for those short trips
made a new bracket and utilised an old exhaust bracket
Two up to Friston, a little event on the village green

My co- pilot didn't like the way her feet tried to slide off the pegs so a little mod required.
Christine starts on one or two kicks.
So all this time , apart from the ultima electronic iggy piece of shit, the alternator was not giving a full charge and then no charge after it came loose.
I had two weeks notice before the chopper bash of imminent probs, but as she would not start without a new condenser, thought I had sorted it.

Going to trawl through my blog list and delete some hipster trash - as I seem to miss the ones that matter - people like TC that spend a day making a bracket!

chopper bash repairs...

the screws holding the alternator came loose damaging the outer threads
put a new rear inner tube in
and when I got the tyre back noticed what was left of the nail still in the tyre
the gearbox sprocket seal was leaking too - and the spacer was worn , metal shavings in the box?
 nice logo
had to tap a deeper thread for the alternator screws
used longer bolts to hold the cycle electrics alternator
28 year old alternator
fitted a  'big fix' gear box nut has a seal - we'll see…

Off to the Chopper Bash in Holland and a very long weekend...

 In which we meet Luke
and James who had run out of fuel
then later found couple of big rocks for the Bitch to sit on when the slow puncture finally decided to flat and rip the valve off coming onto dual carriageway R4
and Nick bless him pulled the tyre off and put in the old inner tube
I had packed at the last minute
 big raised bridge at Zeizate
little did I know that she would not start again
so the others carried on , I got a recovery truck jump start about 9pm
and then she cutout @ 9.30pm
and pushed her a couple of miles into the Bash about 10 pm that night
a lovely event, great people
 good times
club house bar

a lot of top quality great bikes
we diagnosed the alternator was fucked, so battery on charge all night
 Nick and Spike load up
a bit stressy but we made it home, 500 mile round trip

Had a lot of help and cannot thank everyone enough.
A big thanks to Angelo and the Chopper Bash Crew

of love, internal goings on and strange happenings

in love again...
a trip to SoLow Chops and it seems it can happen to other people,
the 'S&S' engine in Clives bike turned out to have big bore (for a 1340) barrels on a 1200 size crank about 5:1 compression!
Jays Ironhead was smoking so he found cracked front rings and wrong piston in the rear
 getting the miles in
something has been eating my bars
pulled her out of the garage for mondays trip out and at first
thought this was road rash but it looks like I've got
some garage monster addicted to powdercoat

A little reminder to self ...
The joys of rural life, Ren did a swap for her Chutney...
last time I replaced these little circlips I could actually see them!
oooooohh
Olives - How! End of  March?...
Outside the back door in Orford the good life...
A little tip my mate Nick gave me , if you are rattle canning,
heat up the can in hot water, it works too...
After realising I do not have three hands, had to take apart the handlebars with internal wiring through the top tree to the twin headlights
fixed to a bracket that clamps the lower tree to the fork legs
a bit of a juggling act involving words like fuck fuck fuck
