there and back again, or... I rode this heap to Linkert Attacks!

hmmm... mrs arcadian looks pensive, the dogs don't give a fuck...
and just as we were about to leave , the posty arrived
with a lucky linkert t-shirt from paulie @ magneto zoo in sweden
who we met later at Rowans
a good luck sign?- I took it anyway, we need it...

80 miles later and we're ok...
I met up with Johno and Keiran (middle) in Watford, then we met Baz (left) at Southhampton...
Then 60 miles in the the fucking rain to chez Rowan in Dorchester
who not only dried us out and with his wife Kriss served up a mountain of food for fifteen
thanks for your outstanding hospitality my friend
pic of Alex(left) and his Dad (their 45 combie  blew) and James "of Jamesville" (Far right) and his mate from Copenhagen
It finally stopped raining the next day on the way to Exeter
at 7am we had to fix my stuck throttle, which after convincing myself it was the accelerator pump sticking and taking the carb off,  turned out to be the internal throttle mechanism. Lots of sticky blue grease helped a little but most of the time I could only get up to a third throttle,
still thats 60mph...
Knuckleheads
Basher joined us
'now which is the unleaded?'
Rowan feeds his knuck
the bitch marks her spot
Baz and his forty year old friend
so after some 350 miles on the bitch, we arrive

more later dear reader...

meeting the choppergod in watford...

johno @chopstock 2013

Funny how everytime you want to get away, all of a sudden work appears
the local pub ( closed due to the landlord doing a runner)
needs a clean and...
'can you help us out  - pronto'
of course  sir, your worship etc,

then my lovely partner has a wobbly fit (meneires disease)
so I thought, fuck it , i'll go to the event late (as usual)

but its all finished bar the shouting...
and myself and the good ship (bitch) Christine
shall fuck off to pastures LINKERTS
on thursday at 11am

arriving at the chopper god residence on the way, approximately 2.30pm
one hundred and twenty miles later for a cuppa

and then my friends, on to  the holy grail...

persist...

 since this shit
cooking and empanadillas
sound proof wall and bookcase
trying my mates latching relay
but no lights though
tested the replacement horn switch, - the tester doesn't work
test 'the new switch' in situ - it doesn't work
so I try the third switch which arrived yesterday but had been posted first but never arrived so they sent a replacement, the one I just tested....
which finally worked - so in for a penny - in for fifty seven pounds
mini latching relay - made in germany
the shit stuff ( got a new battery for the tester - still fucked)
so no lights - and then I read the instructions...
yeah baby...
they dip too...
and so now we can go...
on a trip out,
ha ha, not that trip out...

 to the linkerts!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday, 16 June 2013

expect the unexpected... or fucking typical...

tidying up the handlebars - switches and wiring
drill and tap some holes and feed the wires through...
looking good, and no fuck ups so far...
nice clean bars, no more external cables, just needs a new small brake master cylinder...
then connect the wiring up and...
the horn doesn't work - but it does when connected to the other micro switch... but that's  for the head lights...
bollocks, all that work and the switch is fucked

old tricks are best
crappy old wobbly shifter linkage
crappy old crankshaft seal and ingenious removal tool
made in taiwan
you shall wobble no more

oh yes, took the inner off for a clean and polish too
glitter baby

its kinda yellow here at the moment...

what a ride today, through suffolk's inner roads,
we had them virtually all to ourselves
and the sweet scent of the yellow rape seed fields
as we blasted by...

a little green rosetta... its really getting betta ....

though mainly blue (streak)
The bitch seems to have found a new habit of cutting out on tick over, as though the ignition has been turned off. The old accel super coil gets a bit warm so I ordered this bright blue number.
I'll let you know how we get on, off to Oxfordshire next weekend for an unofficial party, so watch this space...

A LITTLE GREEN ROSETTA.....
She started 3rd Kick, open throttle
No primary kicks, fired on 2nd kick but petered out AND THEN
 KABOOM
Fucking Great!
ITS REALLY GETTING BETTA....

how long lord, how long... one year of kicking misery...

Finally she will not start, just the odd pop and bang.
That was two weeks ago and I'd had enough.
So today I fitted my old points plate with new points and condenser
and my 17 year old Accel super coil
and junked that Ultima Piece of Shit
electronic Igniton
She started so easily, a pleasure to kick, she wanted to start.
thats one year of misery...
